CERTIFIED TEACHER OF CULTIVATING EMOTIONAL BALANCE MEDITATION TEACHER, M.A. PSYCHOLOGY (in progress), ARTIST & TRAVELER After I finished my studies as an architect and visual artist, I filled my life with work, social events, and other common pursuits. At some point I took a moment to reflect on the life I was leading and was faced with the reality of the impermanence of everything I valued and the reality that me and my loved ones would die someday, I wanted to know myself as all great teachers recommended and I wanted to help other people find genuine happiness. In 2004 I went to live for 5 months in the monastery of Kopan at Nepal. This was the beginning of a great journey. I studied with several teachers and did several meditation retreats in Mexico, Nepal, India, Thailand and the US. I've been training for 10 years under the guidance of Dr. Alan Wallace who is a renowned Buddhist scholar, meditation teacher, author and scientist. And with other teachers such as Tony Karam, Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche, Dalai Lama, Mingyur Rinpoche, Matthieu Ricard, etc. On 2007, I participated in the Shamatha Project a Longitudinal Studies of Effects of Intensive Meditation Practice on Attention, Emotional Regulation, and Their Neural Correlates. My brother and I founded a meditation center in México which is affiliated to Casa Tibet Mexico, where we offer a continuous education program, seminars and retreats. I'm also a supporter of Green Architecture and Sustainable living. I'm a certified Cultivating Emotional Balance teacher And currently studying a masters in Psychology.
Through my art and meditation workshops I motivate people to meditate on topics like impermanence and the dreamlike nature of reality, and to search in the depths of their consciousness the meaning of their own existence.
I teach meditation in integration with yoga and art. Helping people to become fully mindful of the present, while being aware of thoughts and emotions, transforming mental afflictions into loving-kindness and compassion in order to flourish as human beings.
